DADDIES DAY OUT

KUALA LUMPUR, 22 JUNE 2025 – In conjunction with Father’s Day earlier this June, Universal Sports proudly presented the VICTOR X Daddies Day Out celebration, featuring Indonesia’s legendary badminton icon, Mohammad Ahsan of The Daddies.

The Daddies refer to the legendary Indonesian men’s doubles pair, Mohammad Ahsan & Hendra Setiawan. Renowned for their exceptional skills, seamless teamwork & numerous prestigious titles, they have left an indelible mark on the world of badminton. Their final tournament appearance was at the Indonesia Masters 2025, where they were honoured with a heartfelt farewell. More than just champions on court, Mohammad Ahsan & Hendra Setiawan’s legacy is defined by their unwavering dedication, sportsmanship & the inspiration they’ve provided to generations of aspiring shuttlers. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Hendra Setiawan was unable to join us this round as he had fallen ill.

From 20 to 22 June 2025, across a series of events in both Malaysia & Singapore, fans were given a rare opportunity to experience Mohammad Ahsan beyond the court. A special journey filled with inspiration, exclusive meet & greets & behind-the-scenes moments.

On Friday, 20 June 2025, Mohammad Ahsan made a special appearance at the VICTOR Concept Store by Galaxy Sports at MyTOWNKL, joined by Malaysian men’s doubles player Goh Sze Fei. Fans enjoyed exclusive autograph & photo opportunities with both athletes, along with lucky draw giveaways for a few fortunate winners. A highlight of the day was a valuable interview session, where Mohammad Ahsan shared heartfelt insights into his career journey, his partnership with Hendra Setiawan & his thoughts on inspiring the next generation of shuttlers. The engaging conversation offered fans a rare glimpse into the mindset of a world-class athlete beyond the court.

As part of our appreciation to VICTOR Concept Store by dealers, on Saturday, 21 June 2025, Mohammad Ahsan & Malaysian men’s doubles player Nur Izzuddin visited the VICTOR Concept Store by REXCOOL in Pandan Indah & the VICTOR Concept Store by 22MAJU in Setapak. These exclusive visits featured meet & greet sessions, where fans had a rare opportunity to interact with the athletes, collect autographs & capture memorable photos. Later that day, a series of friendly matches were held at Smash Arena, Tropicana Sports Centre, Sungai Buloh, where Mohammad Ahsan took to the court against members of #TEAMVICTOR - Dato' Fazley Yaakob, Putra Solihin & Sara Zaini, in a spirited exhibition of skill & camaraderie.

The excitement didn’t stop in Malaysia, it continued across the border for our fans in Singapore! On Sunday, 22 June 2025, Mohammad Ahsan made a special appearance at Wyse Active Hub, located at Perennial Business City Singapore, to celebrate the Grand Opening of the VICTOR Concept Store by Da Ge Sport. To mark this momentous occasion, we were honoured to welcome Dr. Maliki Osman, Patron-in-Chief of the Singapore Badminton Association & Mr. Daniel Yudi Kurniawan, Director of Wyse Active Hub, for a friendly match with Ahsan that truly enlivened the celebration. To wrap up the Daddies Day Out event, Mohammad Ahsan also made a special store visit to Sportshop at Concorde Shopping Centre (Holiday Inn Atrium), where fans had the rare opportunity to meet him up close, going home with cherished autographs & exclusive photo moments.
