SELANGOR, 12 JULY 2025 – In line with our promise under the VICTOR Power Swap Programme, a portion of the proceeds was dedicated to a heartfelt cause, by giving back to society by visiting a children’s home & supporting underprivileged youth. VICTOR Malaysia believes in using sport as a force for good.

After visiting & evaluating several children’s homes, we ultimately chose to visit House of Joy in Puchong. There, we had the opportunity to engage with 25 children & youths aged between 7 - 26 through a meaningful badminton knowledge sharing & friendly match.

To make the event more meaningful, VICTOR Malaysia gifted each of the 25 children a brand-new racket, racket cover & a VICTOR training tee, hoping to inspire joy, confidence & connection through the game. To help the children at House of Joy gain a more complete understanding of badminton, we specially prepared some basic knowledge & key facts about the sport before the event began. Through this initiative, we hoped the children wouldn’t just experience the joy of playing badminton, but also learn about the values & meaning behind the sport.

As part of the highlight of this CSR event & to make it even more meaningful, Malaysia’s national mixed doubles players: Lai Pei Jing & Jimmy Wong made a special appearance. They were present on-site to engage with the young participants, sharing their personal journeys, values & passion for the sport. Lai Pei Jing encouraged the young participants with the message: “As long as you truly love badminton, don’t ever give up. Keep going, you’ll eventually reach a better future.” She highlighted that although the road may be tough, passion & determination can lead to personal success & memorable milestones. Jimmy Wong added: “Good time management helps you achieve more with less effort. Learning is not just about academics, it’s equally important to know how to manage your time well & maintain a balance between school and sports.” He emphasized that badminton is a sport that rewards patience & persistence, requiring continuous effort to see improvement.

Taking this opportunity, we specially arranged a unique & exciting “Kids × Players” badminton friendly match. On the event day, Lai Pei Jing & Jimmy Wong randomly drew lots to select 6 lucky children from the crowd to participate in 3 friendly matches, each played to 11 points. Through this hands-on match experience, meaningful interaction was created between the young participants & the professional players, allowing the children to enjoy the excitement & challenges of real competition.

Following the friendly matches, the court was opened for 25 children to take turns in groups & enjoy the fun of playing badminton. During these sessions, Lai Pei Jing & Jimmy Wong were present to personally offer guidance & encouragement, helping the children better grasp fundamental techniques, further ignite their interest & confidence in the sport. Through hands-on guidance & demonstrations of basic badminton techniques, they helped the children gain a deeper understanding of the game & experience the true spirit & values it represents.

Moreover, we invited content creator Tommy to team up with one of the teenagers from House of Joy for a 21-point friendly match against Lai Pei Jing & Jimmy Wong. This special match provided a valuable opportunity for the children to witness a live game up close, sparking their excitement and deepening their interest in badminton through a fun & inspiring experience.

To make this charitable event even more memorable, we specially prepared a jersey autographed by Lai Pei Jing & Jimmy Wong, which was presented to House of Joy as a token of appreciation & remembrance. In addition, certificates of participation were awarded to all the children who took part in the event, serving as both a meaningful keepsake & a form of encouragement. At the end of the event, the children eagerly seized the opportunity to request autographs from Lai Pei Jing & Jimmy Wong. Beyond signing the certificates, some of the children excitedly asked the athletes to sign directly on their VICTOR jerseys, making this unique & heartwarming event truly unforgettable.
